Taking top honours at awards ceremony

Around 200 local businessmen and dignitaries attended the ceremony, organised by the Runcorn and Widnes Tourism Business Network and Halton Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise.

Other winners at the De Vere Daresbury Park Hotel included Arriva Bus Runcorn and the Holiday Inn.
Phil (pictured) said: “It’s a great honour to win this ward and for Centrol to be recognised for its success in exporting. It’s been a team effort and I’d like to thank everyone involved.”
Centrol exports paper 50,000 tonnes a year of cardboard a year to China, India and Pakistan.

Halton Chamber chairman, Stephen Nickson, said: “The awards ceremony is an excellent opportunity to promote the best of Halton’s businesses and showcase its many success stories. Although it has been a tough year for the business community, we have much to celebrate and I would like to thank everyone for their support.”
